Iran’s Revolutionary Guards eyes big response to Israel's latest attack

Iran’s Operation True Promise was carried out in April in response to the Israeli bombing of the Islamic republic’s embassy in Damascus

DUBAI, November 29. /TASS/. A senior officer in the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) thinks Iran should conduct another large-scale operation a la October 7, 2023 in response to Israel's most recent attack on the Islamic Republic.

"Many ask us when we will go ahead with Operation True Promise 3 (retaliation for the Israeli attack on October 26 - TASS), and I say that Operation True Promise 3 is the furthest thing from my mind. We at the Basij [paramilitary force] want another Operation Al-Aqsa Flood to do away with the Zionists (the Israelis - TASS), and this day will come very soon," news agency Tasnim quoted Brigadier General Mohammad Reza Naqdi, deputy commander of the IRGC, as saying.

Iran’s Operation True Promise was carried out in April in response to the Israeli bombing of the Islamic republic’s embassy in Damascus. Later, on October 1, Iran went ahead with Operation True Promise 2, attacking Israeli military facilities as a retaliation for the assassination of Hamas Politburo Chief Ismael Haniyeh in Tehran.

The Palestinian radical movement Hamas named its incursion into Israel on October 7, 2023 Operation Al-Aqsa Flood.
