Russian Black Sea Fleet ships conduct exercise to repel drone attacks

According to the press service, the Black Sea Fleet’s operational services received a report that a group of drones was heading towards Crimea from Ukraine and sent a message to the ships

MOSCOW, December 23. /TASS/. Russia’s Black Sea Fleet ships have conducted drills to repel drone attacks, the fleet’s press service said in a statement.

"Ship crews of the Black Sea Fleet carried out an exercise to protect the naval base and civilian facilities in the city of Sevastopol from an attack by enemy unmanned aerial vehicles," the statement reads.

According to the press service, the Black Sea Fleet’s operational services received a report that a group of drones was heading towards Crimea from Ukraine and sent a message to the ships.

"Sailors practiced detecting and hitting enemy means of air attack using not only ship equipment and anti-aircraft weapons but also small arms and man-portable missile systems at air defense points," the statement added.
