MOSCOW, April 12. /TASS/. More than 20% of Russian commercial companies plan to shift to locally-produced software before Western software goes down on the country’s territory, according to research by software distributor Axoft.
"Twenty-two percent plan to be substituted before software goes down," the research said.
Meanwhile, 44.7% of polled companies do not plan to substitute software in the near future. Another 27% commercial firms plan to wait until licenses of Western software installed end, according to the research.
That said, 57% of IT companies noted their clients’ demand for an accelerated shift from Western to Russian software, and 37% also plan to substitute foreign equipment, the research noted.
