ISS, April 24. /TASS/. Russia’s cosmonauts currently on board the International Space Station - Oleg Artemyev, Denis Matveyev and Sergey Korsakov - have cooked an Easter cake.

They used a variety of ingredients, such as several types of cookies, ginger, dried apricots, honey cake, flatbread, lemon, ginger jams and honey. The cake is covered with cottage cheese, nuts and candied fruit.

Orthodox Christians around the world on Sunday are celebrating the main Christian holiday - Easter, the day of the Resurrection of Christ. Easter according to the Julian calendar is celebrated by the Russian, Jerusalem, Serbian, Georgian, Bulgarian and other local Orthodox churches.
