SOCHI, November 8. /TASS/. US President-elect Donald Trump's behavior during the attempt on his life produced a strong impression, Russian President leader Vladimir Putin said at the Valdai Discussion Club’s plenary session.
"First of all, I can tell you that his Trump's behavior at the moment of the attempt on his life impressed me. He is a courageous man," Putin noted. "It's not just a matter of a raised hand or a call to fight for their own, common ideals. The person displayed his qualities in extraordinary conditions. He behaved in a very proper way, courageously, as a real man."
"You can feel anything you want about him [Trump]. Everyone initially said during his first presidential [campaign] that he is a businessman by and large and that he doesn't know much about politics. He can make mistakes," Putin said.
He believes that Trump in his first presidential term was literally "hounded" from all sides, that he was "afraid to make a step."
"The impression is that he was hounded from all sides. They did not let him move. He was afraid to make a step to the left or to the right, or to utter a careless word," Putin said.
