Russia suppresses over third of all Ukrainian drones while repelling counteroffensive

"The use of electronic warfare systems has significantly hampered the enemy's ability to target drones and high-precision weapons," Lieutenant General Yury Lastochkin, the head of Russia’s electronic warfare troops, said

MOSCOW, April 15. /TASS/. Russia's electronic warfare systems have suppressed more than a third of all Ukrainian fixed-wing attack drones while repulsing the Ukrainian counteroffensive, a senior defense official said.

"The use of electronic warfare systems has significantly hampered the enemy's ability to target drones and high-precision weapons. While repelling the Ukrainian counteroffensive, more than a third of the total number of Ukrainian fixed-wing attack drones crash-landed without reaching the target due to the work of electronic warfare systems," Lieutenant General Yury Lastochkin, the head of Russia’s electronic warfare troops, said.

He added that the electronic warfare systems made it difficult for the Ukrainian military to hit important Russian facilities with precision munitions. According to foreign military experts, more than a quarter of the precision munitions did not reach their targets due to jamming, while in certain areas, where radio visibility conditions allowed, Russia’s electronic warfare systems achieved 100% coverage against missiles.
