The President’s State of the Nation Address to the Federal Assembly is an annual public address by the head of state to both chambers of parliament

MOSCOW, February 26. /TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin has started preparations for his State of the Nation Address to the Federal Assembly, Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters.

The spokesman pointed out that "the president is personally working on the text" of the address. According to him, during the preceding days the head of state has had "dozens of telephone and personal contacts of a working nature per day - both with ministers and deputy prime ministers, with heads of agencies, with his aides."

"On Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, the president will prepare [his address]," Peskov emphasized.

According to the spokesman, the preparation process is "quite intense." "But, again, the text that comes out is the text of the president," he underscored.
