Shoigu says Ukraine assembled 4 brigades of marines near Krynki for attack toward Crimea

According to the minister, the Russian forces in the area prevented that from happening

MOSCOW, February 20. /TASS/. Ukraine assembled four brigades in the area of Krynki as it planned to break through Russian defenses, Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu told Russian President Vladimir Putin.

"With respect specifically to Krynki, it was planned to be the main point of a breakthrough, and four brigades of the enemy's 30th Marine Corps were assembled there. These are well-equipped, well-trained, well-rested units that were to carry out this very breakthrough and create a foothold for further advancement and deployment of forces," Shoigu said.

According to the minister, the Russian forces in the area prevented that from happening.
