Russian air defenses down six Ukrainian drones in special military operation zone

The Defense Ministry specified that a total of 553 planes, 259 helicopters, 9,867 unmanned aerial vehicles had been destroyed since the start of Russia’s special military operation

MOSCOW, December 19. /TASS/. Russian air defenses shot down six Ukrainian drones in the past day, the Russian Defense Ministry said in a statement.

"Air defenses shot down six Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles near Korsunka, Radensk and Novaya Mayachka in the Kherson Region, and Nesteryanka in the Zaporozhye Region," the statement reads.

The Defense Ministry specified that a total of 553 planes, 259 helicopters, 9,867 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), 442 missile systems, 14,177 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 1,189 multiple rocket launchers, and 7,397 field artillery mounts and mortars, as well as 16,453 special military motor vehicles, had been destroyed since the start of Russia’s special military operation.
