According to Khalid Jamali, "it is not in Pakistan’s economic interests to join anti-Russian sanctions," because "our bilateral trade is growing"

MOSCOW, November 22. /TASS/. Islamabad will not support anti-Russian sanctions, regardless of what political force wins the upcoming general elections in the country, Pakistan’s newly appointed Ambassador to Russia Muhammad Khalid Jamali has told TASS in an interview.

The diplomat gave a positive answer to a relevant question from TASS.

In the ambassador’s opinion, "it is not in Pakistan’s economic interests to join anti-Russian sanctions," because "our bilateral trade is growing."

"Pakistan’s imports from Russia this year grew by 154% compared to the previous year, which is a remarkable figure," he said.
