West fails in Ukraine, gets hold of Armenia — Russian MFA

Maria Zakharova stressed that Moscow considered the recent steps of Armenia's leadership, including Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan’s refusal to participate in the CSTO summit in Minsk, the expansion of Western arms supplies to Armenia, and Yerevan’s contacts with Kiev as "links in the same chain"

MOSCOW, November 15. /TASS/. The West has tightened its grip on Armenia after its policy failed in Ukraine, Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova told a news briefing.

"The West, whose plans on the Ukrainian track have completely failed, has got a hold of Armenia, trying to tear it away from Russia," she said.

Zakharova stressed that Moscow considered the recent steps of Armenia's leadership, including Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan’s refusal to participate in the CSTO summit in Minsk, the expansion of Western arms supplies to Armenia, and Yerevan’s contacts with Kiev as "links in the same chain."

"It seems to me that it is a chain of enslavement," she said.
