No progress on issue of Taliban government’s inclusiveness — Russian diplomat

The Moscow-format meeting on Afghanistan is due to be held in Kazan on September 29

MOSCOW, July 31. /TASS/. Russia sees no progress in what concerns the inclusiveness of the Taliban (outlawed in Russia) interim government in Afghanistan, Zamir Kabulov, the Russian president’s special envoy for Afghanistan and director of the Russian foreign ministry’s second Asia department, told TASS on Monday.

According to Kabulov, the topic of the inclusiveness of the Taliban interim government will top the agenda of the upcoming Moscow-format meeting on Afghanistan due to be held in Kazan on September 29.

"So far, we see no progress (on this matter - TASS). That is why we are going to meet. To continue our work," he noted.
