Russia, India having no problems with payments for oil

The priority in payments "is given to national currencies," Maria Zakharova noted

MOSCOW, April 3. /TASS/. Deliveries of Russian oil to India are steadily high and no problems occur with payments, official spokeswoman of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova said at a briefing.

"Russian oil supplies to India are maintained at a steadily high level; no problems arise with determining means of payment for oil exported by Russia," she said.

The priority in payments "is given to national currencies," the diplomat noted. "This makes it possible not to depend on the so-called ‘rules of the game’ imposed by the Westerners when making banking transactions," Zakharova stressed.
