Volume of investments in key areas of Russian economy should increase 70% by 2030 — Putin

The Russian leader emphasized that over the past three years, the actual growth in the rate of investment in key sectors exceeded the plan

MOSCOW, February 29. /TASS/. Investment in key sectors of the Russian economy should grow by 70% by 2030, Russian President Vladimir Putin stated in his State of the Nation Address to the Federal Assembly.

"We set a goal that by 2030 the volume of investment in key industries should increase by 70%. By the way, our dynamics here are good. I’d like to say, even very good," he said.

Putin emphasized that over the past three years, the actual growth in the rate of investment in key sectors exceeded the plan - in 2021 it was 8.6% with a plan of 4.5%, in 2022 - 15.9% against 9.5%, in just nine months of 2023 with a plan of 15.1% the growth was 26.6%. "We must continue to develop at an accelerated pace," he concluded.
