Russia to boost LNG production to 110 mln tons in 2030 from 33 mln tons in 2023

Russia’s task is to bring its share on the global LNG market up to at least 15-20% from the current 8% and diversify gas supplies, Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak noted

MOSCOW, February 20. /TASS/. Russia may boost LNG production to 110 mln tons in 2030 compared with 33 mln tons in 2023, according to Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak’s presentation.

LNG production in the Yamal cluster may rise to 60 mln tons by 2030 from 20 mln tons in 2030, the Baltic cluster’s output may grow to 15 mln tons from 2.2 mln tons, while production in the Sakhalin cluster and the Murmansk cluster may increase to 15 mln tons from 11 mln tons and to 20 mln tons, respectively.

Russia’s task is to bring its share on the global LNG market up to at least 15-20% from the current 8% and diversify gas supplies, Novak noted.

Russian Deputy PM said earlier that Moscow planned to boost LNG production from 33 mln tons this year to 100 mln tons per year by 2030, with those volumes already ensured by planned projects.
