/BEIJING, December 18. /TASS/. Russia is redirecting its foreign trade flows and channeling 60% of its exports to Asian countries, Russian Finance Minister Anton Siluanov said.
"The Russian Federation is currently at the stage of redirecting foreign trade flows, mainly to our closest, friendly countries, first of all the People’s Republic of China," he said at a meeting with his Chinese counterpart Lan Foan.
"Our exports to Asian countries total almost 60% now, whereas some time ago they were two times lower," the minister added.
He noted that trade turnover between China and Russia surpassed $200 bln in the first 11 months of 2023. "Imports of goods from China to Russia also rose considerably, which is extremely important to us," Siluanov said.
