ABU DHABI, December 6. /TASS/. Russia and the United Arab Emirates are exploring an opportunity of using Russian equipment in energy projects in the UAE, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak said within the framework of bilateral summit talks between the two countries.
"We are considering joint projects on certification of equipment and use of Russian equipment in projects in the UAE; trading in oil and petroleum products is carried on a mutually beneficial basis. I am confident the talks today will give a further impetus to development of cooperation in the energy sector," Novak said.
The UAE is one of the leading strategic partners for Russia in the energy sphere, the official said. "We are cooperating also in the multilateral format, such as within the OPEC+ framework, joint participation in the Gas Exporting Countries Forum, and other energy formats," he added.
