Ukraine sustained damage of $600 bln during conflict with Russia — diplomat

Ukraine’s Ambassador to Hungary Fyodor Shandor added that the figures are growing day by day

BUDAPEST, October 2. /TASS/. The government of Ukraine estimates the damage sustained as a result of the conflict with Russia at over $600 billion, Ukraine’s Ambassador to Hungary Fyodor Shandor said.

"The total sum of damage exceeds $600 billion," he said. "Industrial sites worth over $60 billion have been destroyed. Damage to transport infrastructure is estimated at $96 billion, while energy sector losses exceed $100 billion," he told Hungary’s InfoRadio in an interview.

"Unfortunately, these figures are growing day by day," Shandor added.

At the same time, he maintained that Ukraine is still capable of continuing its military actions.
