Crew Dragon spacecraft with Russian cosmonaut on board docks with ISS

The flight to the orbital station took seven hours and 55 minutes, which makes it the fastest journey to the ISS in the history of manned spaceflights

NEW YORK, October 2. /TASS/. The Crew Dragon manned spacecraft of US company SpaceX, whose multinational crew includes Russian cosmonaut Sergey Teteryatnikov, has docked with the International Space Station (ISS), according to NASA broadcast on YouTube.

The docking took place at 11:05 p.m. GMT on Thursday.

The spacecraft was launched atop the Falcon 9 carrier rocket from Cape Canaveral at 3:10 p.m. GMT. Therefore, the flight to the orbital station took seven hours and 55 minutes, which makes it the fastest journey to the ISS in the history of manned spaceflights.

The Crew 13 mission includes Teteryatnikov, NASA astronauts Jessica Watkins and Luke Delaney, and Canadian Space Agency (CSA) astronaut Joshua Kutryk. They are expected to spend around six months aboard the ISS.
