Black Sea ports resume cargo transshipments as severe weather conditions ease

Almost all trains serving Black Sea coastal routes have returned to their normal schedules, the ministry noted

MOSCOW, December 1. /TASS/. Weather conditions have eased sufficiently to permit the resumption of cargo transshipment and passenger transportation through Russia’s major Black Sea ports, the Transport Ministry said in a statement.

"On the previous day weather conditions allowed for resuming the transshipment of cargos and transportation of passengers at the main seaports along Russia’s Black Sea coast, albeit with certain restrictions," the statement reads.

Almost all trains serving Black Sea coastal routes have returned to their normal schedules, the ministry added.

Airports in Greater Moscow (City of Moscow and Moscow Region) and St. Petersburg’s Pulkovo airport are operating as usual. There have been no flight delays at the Sochi airport either, the ministry noted.

Traffic on federal highways is not restricted due to weather conditions.
