MOSCOW, November 24. /TASS/. Ukraine had to request emergency aid from Romania due to a deficit in the energy system, the national energy company Ukrenergo said.
"To maintain the balance between electric power generation and consumption, Ukrenergo company activated emergency aid from the Romanian grid system operator on November 23 totaling 1,200 MW per hour," the company said on its Telegram channel.
The electricity shortage was registered for the second day in succession due to rising consumption amid a drop in temperature. Ukraine already received emergency aid from Poland, Romania and Slovakia on November 22.
