The dollar to ruble exchange rate fell by 4.66% at the end of October 2023, the euro - by 4.36%, while the yuan exchange rate dropped by 5.99% over the month, according to the data from the trading session on the Moscow Exchange on October 31 in comparison with indicators on September 29, 2023.
From October 2 to October 6, the ruble accelerated its decline against the dollar, and by October 9, the currency surpassed the 102 rubles for the first time since March 23, 2022. The total growth of the ruble during the week of trading on October 2-6 was 2.58 rubles. On October 10 - 19, the dollar traded in the range of 96.45 - 100.9 rubles. Then the ruble began to strengthen against the dollar, and by October 31, the dollar dropped to its minimum value for the month at 91.62 rubles. In total, the dollar fell by 4.57 rubles in October to 93.4 rubles from the level of 97.97 rubles.
The euro also accelerated its growth at the beginning of the first week of October - on October 9, the European currency exceeded 108 rubles for the first time since August 15. On October 18 - 25, the ruble strengthened against the euro, and by October 27, the euro on the Moscow Exchange dropped below 98 rubles for the first time since July 5. The final decline for the month reached 4.51 rubles to 98.84 rubles from 103.35 rubles.
The yuan showed down growth in the first days of the month, and by October 9, the rate reached its maximum value for October - 14.03 rubles. Then the Chinese currency rate started to decline and was in the range of 13.43 - 12.48 rubles. In just a month, the Chinese currency fell by 80.8 kopecks to 12.68 rubles from the level of 13.49 rubles.
