Inflation expectations of households declining in October — Bank of Russia

The Bank of Russia forecasts annual inflation to be 6-7% in 2023 and will return to 4% in 2024

MOSCOW, October 24. /TASS/. Inflation expectations of Russians lost 0.5 percentage points (pp) in October to 11.2%, the Central Bank said.

According to the poll by inFOM, the median estimate of inflation expected by households in twelve months to come dropped by 0.5 pp monthly to 11.2% in October, the regulator informed.

Inflation expectations were growing before that for several months in a row. They ticked up by 0.2 pp month on month in September to 11.7%.

The Bank of Russia forecasts annual inflation to be 6-7% in 2023 and will return to 4% in 2024.
