Price growth rates continued declining in annual terms to 4.3%, the ministry said

MOSCOW, April 12. /TASS/. Annual inflation in Russia slowed down from 5.9% a week earlier to 4.3% over the week from March 21 to 27, the Ministry of Economic Development said in the price situation review.

"The rise in prices slowed down to 0.05% over the week from March 14 to 20, 2023. Price growth rates continued declining in annual terms to 4.3%," the ministry said.

"The price hike geared down to 0.03% in the food sector on account of the drop in price appreciation rates for fruits and vegetables. The price increase is about zero for remaining foods. Prices stayed flat in the nonfood sector. The price growth rates accelerated to 0.41% in the services sector amid the rise in domestic airfare prices," the ministry noted.
