Russia repels two Ukrainian counterattacks in Donetsk area

Enemy lost over 190 servicemen, the Russian Defense Ministry said

MOSCOW, January 6. /TASS/. Russian forces repelled two counterattacks in the Donetsk area, the Ukrainian military lost over 190 servicemen and ten units of equipment, the Russian Defense Ministry said.

"In the Donetsk area, Russia’s battlegroup South repelled two enemy counterattacks near the settlement of Georgyevka, as well as defeated the units of the Ukrainian 28th, 42nd mechanized brigades near Andreyevka, Bogdanovka, Kleshcheyevka and Kurdyumovka of the Donetsk People's Republic. The total losses of the enemy in this area amounted to over 190 servicemen, a tank, two armored combat vehicles and four pickup trucks. In addition, the Russian forces hit Msta-B, D-20 and D-30 howitzers," the statement said.
