Russian air defenses intercept 3 Storm Shadow missiles, 6 HIMARS rockets – top brass

The official representative of the department, Lieutenant-General Igor Konashenkov, said that they also destroyed four Ukrainian drones in the areas of the settlements of Zhovtneve, Kopan and Slavnoe

MOSCOW, May 28. /TASS/. Three Storm Shadow cruise missiles and six HIMARS rockets were intercepted by Russian air defenses in the past day, with four Ukrainian drones being downed, Russian Defense Ministry Spokesman Lieutenant-General Igor Konashenkov told reporters on Sunday.

"In the past 24 hours, air defenses intercepted three Storm Shadow missiles and six HIMARS rockets," he said.

Also, four Ukrainian drones were destroyed near Zhovtnevoye in the Kharkov Region, Kopani in the Zaporozhye Region and Slavnoye in the Donetsk People’s Republic, the general added.

In total, the Russian Armed Forces have destroyed 429 Ukrainian warplanes, 235 combat helicopters, 4,357 unmanned aerial vehicles, 424 surface-to-air missile systems, 9,322 tanks and other combat armored vehicles, 1,100 multiple rocket launchers, 4,924 field artillery guns and mortars and 10,506 special military motor vehicles since the beginning of the special military operation in Ukraine, according to the Russian Defense Ministry.
