MOSCOW, June 2. /TASS/. Roscosmos CEO Dmitry Rogozin has described Russia's nuclear weapons as "the last equalizer" that gives the country security guarantees.
Speaking at the 8th final industrial conference of heads and specialists of human resources’ services of Russia’s rocket and space industry enterprises, Rogozin recalled that Roscosmos was responsible for creating ballistic missiles.
"I hope that it will never come to using them. Nuclear weapons and missile delivery vehicles are the last equalizer. But the very fact that we have these forces is a safeguard of our security," Rogozin said.
The JSC Corporation Moscow Institute of Thermal Technology (MITT, part of Roscosmos) is the developer of intercontinental ballistic missiles Topol, Topol-M, Yars and Bulava. The Krasnoyarsk Machine-Building Plant (Krasmash, part of Roscosmos) manufactures the Sineva submarine-launched ballistic missiles. Also, it produces the Sarmat intercontinental ballistic missile, developed at the V. P. Makeev State Rocket Center.
