UFA, July 10. /TASS/. Sanctions cannot resolve disputes between nations, and it is intolerable that the people are being affected, Brazilian President Dilma Rousseff said on Friday.

"Brazil does not acknowledge and support sanctions," she said in an interview with RT television. "Latin America has a negative experience due to sanctions against Cuba. Now they are being lifted and the US and Cuba are normalizing relations."

"We believe that sanctions cannot resolve problems. It is clear that the people suffer from restrictions, not the government. That is unacceptable. We speak against sanctions at all international forums," the president added.
