DUBAI, April 11. /TASS/. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is undermining any chance of a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip by killing the sons of Hamas politburo chief Ismail Haniyeh, Hamas official Basem Naim told Qatar's Al Jazeera.
According to him, Netanyahu is "doing everything to block or undermine any chance of reaching a ceasefire agreement." According to Naim, the Israeli prime minister is currently under pressure from the US, the international community and the Israeli public, so he is "using all other dirty tricks, killing children, wives or leaders."
On April 10, the Hamas leadership confirmed that Haniyeh’s three sons and four grandchildren were killed in an Israeli military strike on a refugee camp in northern Gaza. Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi, his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas, and the Lebanese Hezbollah movement expressed their condolences.
The Israeli army press service also confirmed the killing of three sons of the Hamas politburo chief in Gaza. Ismail Haniyeh himself lives in Doha.
