BISHKEK, March 25. /TASS/. Kyrgyzstan’s Foreign Ministry has warned the country’s nationals not to take any trips to Russia unless absolutely necessary amid tightened security measures in Russia following the terror attack in a Moscow suburb.
"Following the March 22, 2024 terror attack on Moscow’s Crocus City Hall concert venue, which claimed numerous lives and left many others injured, and amid the tightened security and anti-terrorist measures in Russia, the Foreign Ministry recommends [Kyrgyz] nationals, who have no good reason for visiting Russia, temporarily refrain from [taking] trips there until the added security and border control measures are lifted," it said.
It also asked Kyrgyz nationals who are staying in Russia "to refrain from visiting crowded places" and always have their IDs and residence permits on them. The ministry called on them to obey legal orders from Russian policemen.
According to various estimates, between 700,000 to one million Kyrgyz nationals may be staying in Russia.
