Ukraine lifts air raid warning after over 14 hours

Air raid sirens first went off in the Dnepropetrovsk Region

MOSCOW, January 1. /TASS/. An air raid warning issued in Ukraine has been lifted after over 14 hours, according to the air raid warning service.

Air raid sirens first went off in the Dnepropetrovsk Region at 3:40 p.m. local time (1:40 p.m. GMT) on Sunday, with air raid warnings issued all over the country by 9:08 p.m.

Later, air raid warnings were issued and lifted in various regions of the country.

Explosions were reported in the cities of Dnepr (formerly Dnepropetrovsk), Lvov, Nikolayev, Odessa, Cherkassy and Kherson (controlled by the Kiev authorities), as well as in the Vinnitsa, Kiev, Ternopol, Kharkov and Khmelnitsky regions.
