DUBAI, November 15. /TASS/. The Israeli aviation carried out another strike on a residential building in the Jabalia refugee camp in the northern Gaza Strip, Al Jazeera reported.
According to the channel, as a result of the shelling, several people were killed and wounded. Their number is not yet known.
Israel began its attacks on Jabalia on October 31. Then, as the Al Hadath TV channel reported, citing data from the Palestinian Interior Ministry, the number of dead and wounded in the refugee camp exceeded 400, half of them children. On November 1, the Palestinian news agency WAFA reported that Israel had launched a missile attack on Jabalia. On November 4, Al Hadath TV reported that more than 150 people were injured in an Israeli air force strike on the Al-Fakhoora school building in the Jabalia camp.
Tensions flared up again in the Middle East on October 7 when Hamas militants staged a surprise attack on Israeli territory from the Gaza Strip, killing residents of Israeli border settlements and taking over 200 hostages, including women, children and the elderly. Hamas described its attack as a response to the aggressive actions of Israeli authorities against the Al-Aqsa Mosque on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem’s Old City. Israel has announced a total blockade of the Gaza Strip and has been delivering air strikes on Gaza as well as some parts of Lebanon and Syria. Clashes are also underway in the West Bank.
