Putin, Senegal’s president discuss situation in Gaza — Kremlin

Bilateral cooperation was also discussed

MOSCOW, November 13. /TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin in a phone call with and Senegalese leader Macky Sall discussed the Palestinian-Israeli conflict, the Kremlin said in a statement.

"An exchange of views was conducted in connection with the sharp escalation of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict and the grave humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip," the statement said.

Putin and Sall also discussed bilateral cooperation.

"It has been agreed that all the issues that were raised will continue to be considered through various bilateral channels," the Kremlin said.

The situation in the Middle East sharply escalated following an incursion of Hamas militants from the Gaza Strip into Israel on October 7. Hamas has cast the attack as a response to Israeli actions against the Al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem. Israel has declared a complete siege of the Gaza Strip and has started delivering strikes on that area and parts of Lebanon and Syria. Clashes are also taking place in the West Bank.
