Putin's vision for new world order aligns with China’s — envoy to Russia

Chinese Ambassador to Moscow Zhang Hanhui added that Russian President and Chinese President Xi Jinping are both forward-looking politicians who care about the whole world

MOSCOW, October 31. /TASS/. The principles of the new world order outlined by Russian President Vladimir Putin at a meeting of the Valdai International Discussion Club are in line with China's vision, Chinese Ambassador to Moscow Zhang Hanhui said in an article published in the Komsomolskaya Pravda newspaper.

"The concept of building a community of a single destiny of humanity calls for adhering to the principles of equality and respect, abandoning arrogance and prejudice, building more bridges connecting disconnected civilizations, and promoting mutual understanding of people from different countries," he noted. "Not so long ago, Russian President Vladimir Putin at a meeting of the Valdai International Discussion Club listed six principles of international relations which Russia urges all countries to follow. These principles are fully consistent with the concept of building a community of common destiny of humankind."

The diplomat added that Putin and Chinese President Xi Jinping are both forward-looking politicians who care about the whole world. Through joint efforts, they have brought Sino-Russian relations to the highest level in history. "The strategic mutual trust between the two countries has been greatly strengthened. Business cooperation in various spheres has been comprehensively developed, and collaboration on linking the Belt and Road Initiative with the Eurasian Economic Union has become productive," the ambassador said.
