WaPo says man who worked on military base may be behind US documents leak

Discord officials earlier said they were cooperating with law enforcement over the leaked Pentagon and US intelligence documents

WASHINGTON, April 13. /TASS/. A young man who worked on a military base is allegedly behind the recent leak of US classified materials, the Washington Post reported on Wednesday.

According to the newspaper, the documents were posted in an invitation-only clubhouse on Discord, an online platform popular with video gamers, for several months until March. A member of the clubhouse told the newspaper that the secret documents were shared by a user some call OG, a man in his 20s with a job on "a military base," which he declined to identify.

"He knew what he was doing when he posted these documents, of course. These weren’t accidental leaks of any kind," a member of the clubhouse on Discord told the newspaper. Only people who had undergone thorough background checks were authorized to see the posted documents, WaPo reports.
