Republican Congresswoman calls Biden’s visit to Kiev insulting

The US President earlier pledged further military assistance to Ukraine while being on an unannounced visit in Kiev

WASHINGTON, February 20. /TASS/. US President Joe Biden’s visit to Kiev on President’s Day, a US holiday, is insulting for the people of the United States, Marjorie Taylor Greene, a Republican member of the House of Representatives, said on Monday.

"This is incredibly insulting. Today on our President’s Day (the holiday is observed every third Monday in February - TASS), Joe Biden, the President of the United States chose Ukraine over America, while forcing the American people to pay for Ukraine’s government and war. I cannot express how much Americans hate Joe Biden," she said on Twitter.

Marjorie Taylor Greene was one of the 11 Republican Congress members that signed a letter to Biden demanding to halt assistance to Ukraine.

Biden earlier pledged further military assistance to Ukraine while being on an unannounced visit in Kiev. It was his first visit to Ukraine since his election as US president.
