China and Russia reject unipolar hegemony and policy of brute force — top diplomat

"This position is on the right side of history and is in keeping with the tendencies of the modern development," he said

BEIJING, November 27. /TASS/. China and Russia will never recognize a policy of brute force and unipolar hegemony, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi said on Sunday at a meeting with Russian Ambassador to China Igor Morgulov.

"China and Russia together are advocating a multipolar world and do not recognize unipolar hegemony. They are firmly defending a system of international relations with the United Nations playing the central role, a world order based on international law. They reject the policy of brute force," the Chinese foreign ministry quoted him as saying.

"This position is on the right side of history and is in keeping with the tendencies of the modern development," he said.
