MOSCOW, February 17. /TASS/. More than 80% of the surveyed Russians plan to vote in the presidential election in March, as follows from a survey conducted by the Public Opinion Foundation (FOM). The pollster questioned 1,500 adult Russians. The statistical error does not exceed 3.6%.
"The firm intention to take part in the elections was expressed by 57% of respondents, another 13% of respondents are most likely to go to vote, and as many may participate in the election. In all, 83% of respondents are ready to vote," the survey says. At the same time, 79% named the date and month of the election.
If the voting were to be held on Sunday February 18, 81% of those who are ready to take part in them, said they would vote for self-nominated Vladimir Putin.
"Nikolay Kharitonov (CPRF) and Leonid Slutsky (LDPR) would receive 3% each, and Vladislav Davankov (New People) - 2%," the survey says.
Earlier, the Russian Public Opinion Research Center (VCIOM) released the results of its own survey: 77% of Russians are ready to go to vote in the election, 63% of them will definitely vote and another 14% are likely to take part.
As many as 86% of respondents named the date, month and year of the elections. If the voting were due this Sunday, 79% of those eligible to vote would cast their ballots for Putin, 4% for Davankov and Kharitonov, and 2% of those planning to go to the polls would support Slutsky.
The Federation Council set the election for March 17, 2024. The Russian Central Election Commission decided that the voting will last three days: March 15, 16 and 17. It will be the first three-day presidential election in Russia. There are four names on the ballot paper.
