DONETSK, January 27. /TASS/. The Ukrainian armed forces used the Kupyansk-Uzlovoy settlement as a starting point for sabotage and reconnaissance operations in Kupyansk itself, a Russian security official told TASS.

"Kupyansk-Uzlovoy was a kind of a starting point for the enemy’s sabotage and reconnaissance operations in Kupyansk itself," the source said.

Earlier, Chief of the Russian General Staff Army General Valery Gerasimov announced the liberation of the Kupyansk-Uzlovoy settlement.
