MOSCOW, November 11. /TASS/. The Kremlin has noticed Europe's nervousness after the election of Donald Trump as US president, Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters.
"We see a certain nervousness, all sorts of concerns of the Europeans in connection with the election of Mr. Trump as the US president," the Kremlin spokesman said, adding that Moscow will keep an eye on how relations between European countries and the US will develop further.
At the same time, Peskov pointed out that it is too early to talk about a change in Europe's position on the Ukrainian conflict. "It is still too early to talk about whether there is a change of position," the spokesman emphasized when asked whether the statement by German Chancellor Olaf Scholz about plans to talk to Russian President Vladimir Putin indicates a change in the position of Europeans after Trump's victory.
"Now we are reading a lot of information, we don't know how much of it is true. But there are statements by European representatives, official statements that speak about the continuation of their general line on providing all kinds of support, and to put it in Russian, on pumping weapons into Ukraine in order to continue this war to the end," the Kremlin spokesman concluded.
