MOSCOW, April 15. /TASS/. An armored group of Russian paratroopers using T-80 tanks and combat vehicles has destroyed a Ukrainian unit and helped the battlegroup’s assault unit capture a stronghold, the Russian Defense Ministry told reporters.
"An armored group operating on T-80 tanks and BMD-2K-AU paratrooper combat vehicles immediately moved to the designated area in the northern direction to destroy the designated targets. <...> Under continuous enemy fire, the crews of the T-80 tanks and BMD-2K-AU vehicles were able to break through to the Ukrainian stronghold and open fire on it, destroying the servicemen there," the ministry said.
Russian troops suffered no casualties. "After the combat work of the armored unit, the air assault groups entered the stronghold and cleared it," the ministry added.
