Twenty-six civilians killed in Ukraine’s shelling of Belgorod Region since March 12

According to the minister, 27 people are undergoing medical treatment at hospitals in the Belgorod Region, including one child

BELGOROD, April 3./TASS/. Twenty-six civilians have been killed since March 12 as a result of shelling of the Russian borderline Belgorod Region by Ukrainian troops, the region’s minister of health, Andrey Ikonnikov, said.

"As many as 187 people have been hurt since March 12. Unfortunately, 26 of them have died," he said.

According to the minister, 27 people are undergoing medical treatment at hospitals in the Belgorod Region, including one child. Seven people are in serious condition, Ikonnikov noted.

Six people are being treated in Moscow, including two children, the press service of the Russian Health Ministry specified to TASS.

Shelling of the Ukrainian border region has visibly intensified since March 12, with Belgorod coming under daily shelling and drone attacks.
