Russian forces repulse Ukrainian counterattack in Rabotino — politician

Vladimir Rogov stressed that the Russian military also improved positions along the frontline near Vremevka

MELITOPOL, March 21. /TASS/. Russian forces have repulsed a Ukrainian counterattack on the positions in Rabotino, the Zaporozhye Region, that were taken on the previous day, the leader of the movement We Are Together With Russia, Vladimir Rogov, has told TASS.

On Wednesday, he informed that the Russian Armed Forces had moved beyond the central part of the village to its northern outskirts, which is held by the Ukrainian forces, for the first time since the resumption of active hostilities in this area in February.

"There was an attempted Ukrainian counterattack in Rabotino itself. It was unsuccessful. Ours have already consolidated their positions," Rogov said.

Also, he stressed that the Russian military also improved positions along the frontline near Vremevka.

"Russian forces have advanced near Staromayorskoye and Urozhaynoye," he said.

At the end of February, the Russian Defense Ministry said that as a result of assault operations, Russian units managed to gain a foothold in Rabotino.

The Ukrainian forces have been unsuccessfully trying to regain the lost positions by transferring reinforcements from other areas.
