YEREVAN, December 22. /TASS/. Russia and Armenia are set to boost and develop cooperation across the board as the two countries maintain an intensive dialogue, Russian Ambassador to Armenia Sergey Kopyrkin told TASS in an interview.

"Our countries maintain an intensive dialogue at various levels," the Russian diplomat said.

Commenting on a recent visit by a representative Russian delegation led by Deputy Prime Minister Alexey Overchuk to the 22nd meeting of the intergovernmental commission on bilateral economic cooperation, he said that the event "confirmed the two countries’ commitment to strengthening and developing cooperation in a variety of fields that are of interest and importance to our countries and peoples." Also, new practical agreements in this regard have been reached, he added.

On December 15, Yerevan hosted a meeting of the Armenian-Russian intergovernmental commission. The Russian co-chair, Deputy Prime Minister Alexey Overchuk, told reporters that Yerevan and Moscow had agreed to deepen economic cooperation. The two sides also signed a number of documents.
