MOSCOW, December 18. /TASS/. Russia and China will deepen cooperation with international organizations, including G20, BRICS and APEC, for limiting the risks of geopolitical and geo-economical fragmentation, according to a joint statement by Moscow and Beijing published by the Russian Finance Ministry following the 9th Sino-Russian financial dialogue in Beijing.
"The sides will deepen cooperation within multi-sided formats, including G20, BRICS and APEC, for limiting the risks related to geopolitical and geo-economical fragmentation, consistently promote economic globalization and support the stability of uninterrupted global industrial chains and supply chains," the statement reads.
The two sides also noted that the prospects of global economic growth remain uncertain amid persisting high inflation, the aftermath of the pandemic, geopolitical tensions and politically motivated restrictive measures, according to the statement.
That said, Russia and China as founder members and largest shareholders of the New Development Bank (NDB) seek to support the bank in its expansion and strengthening, addressing the current tasks, consecutive implementation of the bank’s general strategy for 2022-2026, as well as facilitating infrastructure and sustainable development of member states.
