West to continue to look for options of putting pressure on Russia — Kremlin spokesman

When speaking about the impact of sanctions on Russia, Dmitry Peskov cited a Russian saying, "Unless thunder strikes, a man will not cross himself"

MOSCOW, November 18. /TASS/. Western countries will be searching for how to put pressure on Russia, Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov said.

When asked by journalist Pavel Zarubin, Peskov said that Western countries "are capable of lots of things."

"They are cynical people who do not shy away from anything, so we certainly have to stay as focused as possible," he said.

"It is obvious, it is a fact that there will be more searches for various options to put pressure on our country," Peskov said in a video posted on the journalist’s Telegram channel.

"We see that the Westerners are in anguish indeed, and they are in anguish as the sanctions have not hit as hard they should have done. Moreover, we are as usual: the Russians have managed to make it so that we capitalize on sanctions," Peskov said.

When speaking about the impact of sanctions on Russia, he cited a Russian saying, "Unless thunder strikes, a man will not cross himself."

"Thunder had rumbled and we crossed ourselves and will keep crossing ourselves," the Russian presidential spokesman added.
