ASTANA, November 9. /TASS/. Moscow and Astana are capable of resolving all important bilateral issues despite the complicated present-day situation, Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Thursday.
"We understand all the difficulties associated with the present-day situation," Putin said at a meeting with his Kazakh counterpart Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.
"I am confident that based on the priorities of national interest we will always be capable of settling issues without violating any of our international obligations…, all of the issues that are of an obvious mutual national interest for our countries," the Russian president noted.
By doing so, according to Putin, Russia and Kazakhstan will bolster their sovereignty on the global arena, which is extremely important.
"Just as education in the development of high technology, so too is sovereignty in the development of the state in general an essential component of the nation's future," Putin added.
