Ukrainian troops make two unsuccessful attempts to advance near Orekhovo

It is reported that a Ukrainian paratrooper division was struck by the Russian artillery fire and sustained losses as it went on an attack in the sector

MOSCOW, October 26. /TASS/. Ukrainian units were hit by Russian artillery fire as they made two attempts to storm Russian positions in the Orekhovo direction of the Zaporozhye Region in the past day, according to a report from a Russian unit, seen by TASS.

In one attempt, "a Ukrainian paratrooper division was struck by our [Russian] artillery fire and sustained losses as it went on an attack in our sector. They then asked for reinforcements, but their commanders refused to send any," the report reads.

In the other attempt, Ukrainian motorized infantry tried to advance in the same direction, too. Two Ukrainian assault teams aided by two IFVs and a tank were hit by Russian artillery fire and sustained losses.
