PETROZAVODSK, July 31. /TASS/. Finland’s leadership, under Washington’s tutelage, is knowingly heading toward confrontation with Russia, but everything will settle into place following Russia’s victory in the special military operation, Russian Security Council Secretary Nikolay Patrushev said.
"The Finnish leadership’s policy, stoked by their handlers in Washington, is destroying the good-neighborly Russian-Finnish relations that were established following the defeat of Nazi Germany. [Helsinki] has resumed steering a conscious course toward confrontation with our country. Far-right organizations, which demand the return of territories lost [by Finland] following the outcome of the Second World War, are ramping up their activities. Apparently, the lessons of the recent past have not been learned," he said at a meeting concerning security issues facing Russia’s far northwestern Karelia Region, which shares a lengthy border with Finland, in the regional capital, Petrozavodsk.
"I think that following our victory in the special military operation everything will fall back into place, just as it was in 1945 when Finland launched military operations against Nazi Germany," Patrushev noted.
