Two staff members of Tavria TV company killed in Kiev’s shelling of Kherson ferry

It is reported that among those dead was a Russian film producer who had arrived by the call of his heart to help Kherson and the region

KHERSON, October 21. /TASS/. Two staff members of the Kherson-based Tavria TV company were killed in the Ukrainian army’s shelling of a ferry across the Dnieper River in Kherson, Yekaterina Gubareva, Kherson Region deputy governor, said on Friday.

The Ukrainian military delivered 12 rocket strikes on the civilian river crossing in Kherson on October 20, with 11 rockets shot down by Russian air defenses and one rocket falling in the area of the Antonovka Bridge. Four civilians were killed and ten others were wounded as a result of the Ukrainian army’s bombardments.

"This is how the car of our Tavria TV company staff members looks like after the Ukrainian military’s shelling yesterday, on October 20, 2022. At least two staff members were killed. Among those dead was a Russian film producer who had arrived by the call of his heart to help Kherson and the region," she wrote on her Telegram channel, attaching photos of the damaged car.

As the deputy governor specified, the dead Russian producer’s name was Oleg Klokov. She said that he "came at his own initiative in the first days of October to develop the Tavria TV Channel." He earlier worked for Russia’s TV Channel One, the Moskva-24 and Russia Today media outlets.
